The Australian Model Engineering Magazine is a magazine for all Model Engineering Enthusiasts.  Locomotives, Traction & Stationary Engines, Boats, Workshop, Products, Club News & Events, Reviews & Informative Articles. The magazine is produced every 2 months and most Australian Newsagents stock supplies or you can purchase a subscription direct from AME.

Matt has a fully equipted workshop where he concentrates on the construction, restoration and repair of Miniature Live Steam Locomotives.  Matt is able to machine a single component or a complete ready to run Live Steam Locomotive.  Matt also sells various Model Engineering Supplies.

Lake Macquarie Live Steam Locomotive Society

The Lake Macquarie Live Steam Locomotive Society runs on the last Sunday of each month except December. Run times are between 1pm and 4pm where the club members donate their time to provide train rides to the public. The run days are free, but if you enjoy yourself it would be appreciated that you might provide a donation in the boxes that are located around the grounds to assist with the maintenance and associated running costs.  Fully enclosed footwear must be worn to ride on the trains.  Click on the link below to see their website

 

ILLAWARRA LIVE STEAMERS CO-OP LIMITED

HOME OF THE HOT POT RUN 

The Illawarra Live Steamers opertes a 5" Railway across from Stuart Park at North Wollongong.  On the 4th Sunday of each month except for December, they open their gates to give the public train rides and access to their beautiful park and BBQ facilities.  Enclosed foot wear must be worn.  For more information click on the link above to their website

Scale Model EXchange

The Scale Model Exchange is intended as  Internet Only Specialised Classifieds for Buying and Selling of Hand-Built Scale Models and Related Items.  In particular, it is initially focused on live steam and ride-on railway models, rolling stock, marine models and workshop equipment used to make such models, although other types of models are permissible. Other categories at a later date. SMEX is primarily aimed to serve model engineers in the Australia/NZ region, however users from other regions are welcome.
